(World Newsco) The world’s population that always grow and make food shortages become rampant encouraged Japanese scientists discovered a way to make synthetic meat from human feces. Can you imagine that?

A researcher from the Laboratory of Okayama, Mitsuyuki Ikeda has developed a manufacturing process of synthetic meat from protein extract contained in human feces. Similarly, as reported by Digital Trends, on Saturday (6/18).

This study originated from the initiative of Tokyo Sewage, waste treatment such departments in Japan, who performed a special approach to scientists because too much waste is available.

They demanded that scientists are exploring the usefulness of such waste for fertilizer. However, in practice, Ikeda found the wastes contain lots of protein because there is bacteria in it.

The researchers then extracted the protein, then combined it with some sort of liquid generating reaction. Furthermore, protein extracts are put into a machine capable of forming the extract became such a synthetic meat.

Any meat that has a biological protein synthesis as much as 63 percent, 25 percent of carbohydrates, lipids (fats that are not soluble in water) 3 percent and 9 percent of minerals. The researchers then gave a red color on synthetic meat with the food coloring and flavor with soy protein. In the first test, people said that the meat felt a bit like beef.

Keep in mind that the meat packing industry contributes as much as 18 percent of gas emissions, mostly from methane gas released by animal meat. Then the cattle also consume natural resources in large numbers.

If wanting to secure supply of food for humans in the future, we must find ways to keep food sources, but regardless of the controversy cruelty to animals. And the synthetic meat created by Professor Ikeda is known to reduce waste and emissions.

Meanwhile, for the synthetic meat he made, Professor Ikeda quite understand the psychological barriers that may be experienced by people if they want to eat it. Moreover, people will definitely disgusted when considering that the meat is made from human feces. Ikeda stated, this research will still be refined again.
